If my week had a weather forecast, it would’ve been something like this:
❄️ 100% chance of snowstorm
🐭 Unexpected mouse activity under the hood
🎁 High probability of Black Friday excitement
🧡 Scattered bursts of holiday creativity
⚽ Sudden World Cup euphoria
💛 And a surprising front of celebrity love blowing in from the west
Not exactly predictable - but definitely unforgettable. Also, a little shoutout to everyone who answered my email earlier this week - you picked one of the themes for this letter! So in many ways, it’s something we made together!
Here’s what we’re diving into today:
✨ Snow chaos on the farm
✨ A mouse with questionable taste in car wiring
✨ Our biggest Black Friday sale ever
✨ The orange wreath I’m now obsessed with
✨ Norway’s World Cup moment (!!)
✨ A psoriasis study worth knowing
✨ And the wild, beautiful story of the women who reached out to us at Frøya
Grab your warmest drink - this week had weather.
❄️ Winter Arrived Overnight
Winter didn’t knock this year here in Norway and on the farm - it burst through the door with a full snowstorm.
It came so fast that even we seasoned Norwegians were caught off guard. One moment: bare fields.
The next: snow swirling sideways and the entire landscape transformed.
Thankfully we were prepared:
✔︎ Everything stored away
✔︎ Firewood stacked
✔︎ Winter tires on weeks ago
Still - the first real snow always brings a kind of new «time zone» here in the north. Suddenly:
- Cars are buried
- Houses are snowed in
- Snowplow walls are taller than me
- The roads are a whiteout maze
And everything takes twice as long (but is twice as magical)
And honestly?
It’s one of my favorite things in the world.
The fields glittering in blue winter light. Trees heavy with soft snow.
The dogs turning into children again.
Bamse becomes a full-on snow fox, leaping through drifts like he’s been waiting all year for this.
King? He votes for «indoors only» and settles by the fireplace like a wise old man.
Both are correct.
🐭 The Mouse in the Engine (yes… really)
Not everything goes according to plan though.
One morning this week, the car wouldn’t start - even though it was safely parked inside the barn to avoid the worst cold.
Curious (and with zero actual car knowledge), I opened the hood…
…AND YOU GUYS.
A MOUSE HAD MOVED IN.
Not only that - it had thrown itself
a full harvest festival.
Inside my engine were:
✨ Chewed wires
✨ A cozy little nest
✨ And actual stalks of grain from our own fields
During autumn harvesting, a few pieces must have blown in - and apparently that was all the invitation it needed.
A countryside crime scene.
Thank goodness for car insurance, because this repair bill alone would have cancelled Christmas for the next five years 😂
🎁 Holiday Gifts + Black Friday Reminder
Speaking of Christmas…
There will be no surprises under the tree from me this year - and everyone in my family is thrilled about that.
Because the truth is:
they want Frøya.
My dad is obsessed with our entire haircare series.
My hard-working farmer boyfriend will of course get Joint & Muscle Balm.
The women in my life get face balms on rotation.
And if you like being prepared - like I do - this is the moment to stock up:

🧡 This Week’s DIY: Dried Orange Holiday Wreath
This isn’t just another balm.
Christmas is approaching fast, and this is when my creative side wakes up the most.
Earlier this week, I asked you to help me choose one of today's topics, and the votes were clear. You wanted natural Christmas décor, so here we are!
I love making décor from simple, natural, inexpensive ingredients - and this week my dehydrator came out again.
I made the prettiest dried orange wreath - bright, modern, and cozy.
And dried orange slices?
You can use them for everything:
- Garlands
- Tree ornaments
- Drink garnish
- Table décor
- Gift wrapping
And of course, wreaths
Full recipe + oven + dehydrator method is at the end of the email, as always 💛
⚽ WORLD CUP MIRACLE!
As a former football player, this made my entire week:
NORWAY QUALIFIED FOR THE
MEN’S WORLD CUP!
Last time?
I was four years old - I remember nothing.
But now, 28 years later, we’re back!
We beat Italy away last Sunday and the whole country is buzzing. I’m very excited for next year’s World Cup - especially since it will be hosted across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
I can’t wait for next summer!
💛 Health Tip of the Week: New Psoriasis Study
I often hear from many of you who struggle with psoriasis, so I wanted to share something important.
A new study found that people with mild to moderate psoriasis who followed a classic Mediterranean diet for 16 weeks experienced:
👉 Up to 75% reduction in symptoms
👉 while the control group saw almost no improvement
WHAT IS THE MEDITERRANEAN DIET?
Lots of vegetables, fruit, nuts, beans, whole grains, extra-virgin olive oil, and fatty fish - and cutting down on sugar and ultra-processed foods.
Simple. Natural.
And beautifully aligned with what our bodies understand.
If you know someone with psoriasis, send this to them — it might help 💛
🌍 A Little Frøya Moment I’ll Never Forget
And now… something I am unbelievably grateful for.
We have an incredible community - truly a cheering squad spread across the world. Your replies are often the highlight of my day.
And sometimes something happens that leaves childhood-Line (and adult-Line) completely speechless.
I grew up watching Prison Break. Lincoln Burrows, Michael Scofield, and Dr. Sara Tancredi were some of the most iconic characters of my teenage years.
Fast forward 20 years…
…and we receive a message from a happy customer who wants to collaborate with us.
I nearly fell off my chair. It was Sarah Wayne Callies. THE Dr. Sara Tancredi. Wanting to work with us. I still don’t have words.
And when one snowball starts rolling… another follows. Recently we welcomed more strong, inspiring voices:

To have women like this choose us - trust us - and use their platforms to share our work…
It’s Thanksgiving early here.
My gratitude is honestly to the moon and back.
✨ Before You Go
What part of this week’s letter did you feel most connected to?
The snowstorm?
The mouse crisis?
The celebrity surprises?
The psoriasis study?
Or the holiday wreath?
I love hearing from you - reply and tell me.
And your little emoji rating means the world 👇
✨ 🤍 Loved it!
🌿 Really enjoyed it
🫖 Perfect with my tea
😅 Not quite my vibe this week
With warmth from snowy Norway,

The heart of Frøya
You’ll need:
- 6-8 oranges
- A cardboard plate/ring (cut into a circle)
- Hot glue gun
- Ribbon for hanging
- Optional: cinnamon sticks, star anise, pine branches
How to dry the oranges:
IN DEHYDRATOR:
- Slice oranges 0.5–1 cm thick
- Dry at 50–60°C (120–140°F) for 6–12 hours
- Flip halfway
IN OVEN:
- Slice the same way
- Bake at the lowest temperature (about 60–80°C / 140–175°F)
- Keep the oven door slightly open
- Dry for 4–6 hours, flipping occasionally
- Remove when completely dry
Make your wreath:
- Cut a round base from cardboard (a ring shape)
- Use a hot glue gun to attach the dried orange slices to the cardboard base
- Slightly overlap the slices for a fuller look
- Add cinnamon sticks, star anise, or pine branches if you like
- Tie ribbon around the top for hanging
Hang and enjoy the cozy scent and warm glow ✨
